Lo Celso is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans going forward and the club have been looking to move him on in the ongoing transfer window.

The midfielder has struggled with injuries this season and the Spurs boss has been looking to bring in more midfield reinforcements.

The Argentine is subject to interest from French giants Lyon, who are in the market to find a replacement for Newcastle United-bound Bruno Guimaraes.

Lyon have an agreement in place with Spurs to sign him on loan, but according to French sports daily L’Equipe, they are still waiting on the approval of the player.

Lo Celso is prepared to leave the north London club but would want guarantees over playing time before joining another outfit.

With Guimaraes on his way out, Lyon have a place in the team for the Argentine for the rest of the season.

Lyon have agreed to cover half of his wages with Spurs paying the other half and there is no option to buy in the loan agreement.

Once the Argentine gives his nod, Lyon will arrange a medical for him before signing him for the rest of the season.
