Aubameyang reached Barcelona today in the hope of securing a loan move to the Catalan giants for the rest of the season.

He has had a falling out with Mikel Arteta and has no way back in the first-team squad for the moment, having also lost the captain’s armband.

Barcelona and Arsenal were in talks to work out an agreement for the striker’s loan move but the negotiations failed as they did not see eye to eye on finding a solution for his wages.

The deal is believed to be off as things stand, but according to Spanish radio station COPE, Aubameyang’s medical is scheduled to take place.

The forward was expected to undergo a medical at the Hospital de Barcelona ahead of the potential move.

And it has been claimed no one from the Catalan giants have called the hospital to cancel the medical.

A team are still ready at the Hospital de Barcelona to carry out the medical checks on the Gabonese striker.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal and Barcelona are trying to revive the negotiations in the final hours of the transfer window.
