Valencia have managed to agree a deal for the Tottenham winger after Daniel Levy lowered his demands for Gil, helping the winger to move back to Spain.

Gil joined Tottenham last summer from Sevilla, but has failed to settle in English football and has featured only sporadically for the north London side.

Now he is set to return to Spain on a loan deal and, according to Spanish radio programme Tribuna Deportiva, is now flying on a private jet to Valencia.

Gil is due to land in Spain at 11:20 CET this morning and will then go straight to his medical.

Valencia will put the Tottenham winger through his medical paces and when he comes through he will sign a contract until June.

Gil will be looking to play regular first team football back in Spain and get back into his groove.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the winger following the end of his loan stint at Valencia.
