Haaland is widely expected to leave Dortmund in the summer when a release clause worth €75m will come into effect in his contract.

Manchester City are believed to be leading the race to sign him but Haaland is also wanted at the two La Liga giants – Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Dortmund want the forward to take a call on his future by the end of February as they want time to identify a proper replacement for the Norwegian.

The Bundesliga giants are prepared to offer him a big contract to keep the striker at the club and Zorc stressed that Haaland is still young and Dortmund can help him to further develop.

However, he conceded that Dortmund and Haaland need to make a decision soon on his future.

Zorc told German magazine Kicker: “Erling is still very young and his development is not yet complete.

“And we are a very good club for shaping developments in a positive way.

“At some point, there will be a decision.”

Mino Raiola has been holding talks over his future with several clubs and a concrete call is expected in the coming weeks and months.
