The Blues extended Thiago Silva’s deal last month, but their other two senior centre-backs, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, are both out of contract next summer.

Amidst the uncertainty over the futures of Rudiger and Christensen at Stamford Bridge, both players have been linked with transfer interest from elsewhere.

But Chelsea are preparing for a potential defensive overhaul in the transfer window and have started to compile a list of centre-back targets for the summer.

And Leicester star Soyuncu is among the names of the capital club’s wish list for the next transfer window.

Since joining the Foxes from German outfit Freiburg in the summer of 2018, the Turk has evolved into a key player at the King Power Stadium.

Soyuncu’s current deal at Leicester runs until the summer of 2023, but Chelsea could swoop for him when the transfer window swings open in the summer.

In addition to Soyuncu, Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Adam Webster is another name on Chelsea’s transfer radar for the next window.
