Hamer joined the Brewers last year and has become a pivotal part of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side in League One this term.

The defender has missed just one game in the league for the Brewers and has played every minute of their campaign since missing a match in November.

Hamer has also found himself playing in different positions for the Brewers and has contributed one goal and three assists in all competitions.

His impressive performances have roused the attention of the Tricky Trees who are keen on bringing the 22-year-old to the City Ground.

However, Nottingham Forest are not alone in the chase however as fellow Championship side Hull City are also interested in the Brewers player.

Indeed, the Tigers tried to secure his signature last month, but they failed and Hamer has continued on at the Pirelli Stadium.

It remains to be seen whether the Brewers are willing to sell a player they only brought last summer and who has become a vital part of the team.
