The marksman is out of contract at Goodison Park in the summer and is expected to leave on a free transfer, with several clubs interested in landing his services.

It has been claimed that Tosun’s former side Besiktas have already reached an agreement with him over a move in the forthcoming window.

However, Tosun has remained coy on whether he will play for the Super Lig side next season and stressed it would not be right to discuss his future at present as he is on the books at Everton.

The striker added that he and his team will take a decision on his future further down the line.

When asked whether he will be playing or Besiktas next season, Tosun was quoted as saying by Turkish broadcaster A Spor: “I have a contract at Everton until the summer.

“It would not be right to say it already.

“My name is mentioned with Besiktas every year, [but now] I have a contract and will continue at Everton until the summer.

“We will decide later.”

Tosun joined Everton in January 2018 but has so far failed to establish himself at the club, including in this season, while having had two spells away on loan.
