Hazard’s move to Real Madrid has not gone according to plan and the former Chelsea man has struggled to impose himself at Los Blancos.

His spell at the Spanish giants has been hampered by constant injuries and Real Madrid are open to letting the player go in the summer.

Real Madrid favour loaning Hazard out for next season in order that he can get back to his best before he is sold in the summer of 2023.

Arsenal and the La Liga giants have discussed the possibility of a loan move for next season, and now the Gunners have made further moves.

A meeting was held earlier this week, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, as Arsenal look to close in.

However, an issue for Arsenal is that at present Hazard wants to stay at Real Madrid into next season and is still convinced he can make a success of his spell.

Arsenal have a solid relationship with Real Madrid, having loaned Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard from the club in recent years.
