Origi will be out of contract with Liverpool at the end of the season and he is looking to move on from the club on a free transfer.

Several clubs are keen on Origi and Newcastle recently got in touch with the hitman’s agents to put forward their proposal to take him to St James’ Park this summer.

But AC Milan have the edge in the race to sign Origi and have reportedly agreed on terms on a contract with the player as well.

And according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, there has been fresh contact between AC Milan and the forward’s representatives, which took place recently.

The agreement over a contract still exists and negotiations between the two have been progressing.

However, it has been claimed that Origi has still not signed a pre-contract with AC Milan and nothing is yet official.

AC Milan want a new forward and the Belgian is seen as a low-cost option who can add something to their squad.

It remains to be seen whether Origi might be considering Newcastle or is set on the Rossoneri.
