Brentford played a friendly in the international break in February against the Villans, which took place at Villa Park.

The two clubs have developed a good relationship in the aftermath of the transfers of Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa from the Bees to the Villans.

Watkins and Tyrone Mings scored in the friendly in February, and the Villans are now ready to meet the Bees again as each side looks to stay sharp.

Manager Steven Gerrard’s side will take on the Bees in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Good Friday in London.

The Bees are expected to put out a youthful side for the clash, while the Villans are eager to hand minutes to stars returning from injuries, academy prospects as well as otherwise playing time starved players.

Among the players expected to receive minutes are Bertrand Traore, Carney Chukwuemeka, Robin Olsen and others who have not played much recently.

The Villans are not in action this weekend and Gerrard will be hoping that with the friendly, his team still remain fresh before the clash against Leicester City next weekend.
