The 24-year-old Austrian midfielder has been turning heads this season with his performances for RB Leipzig and is the subject of recruitment meetings at clubs across Europe.

Bayern Munich are interested in taking him away from Leipzig in the summer and he has also been linked with a move to the Premier League as well.

Manchester United and Tottenham have been keeping tabs on him, but it has been claimed one more top English club are now in the fray for Laimer.

According to German magazine Kicker, Liverpool are interested in getting their hands on the Austrian midfielder in the next transfer window.

Laimer’s athleticism and tactical flexibility are appreciated by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and he has emerged as an option for the Reds ahead of the summer.

For the moment, none of his Premier League suitors have made any concrete moves to set up a deal for him ahead of the transfer window.

And it has been suggested that Laimer is also not interested in talking about his future at the moment.

The midfielder wants to focus on the weeks ahead, where Leipzig will be involved in a Europa League semi-final and the German cup final.
