Diop has been out of action since suffering an ankle ligament injury in West Ham’s 1-1 Premier League draw against Burnley earlier this month, and it has been claimed he could miss the rest of the season.

The centre-back is currently on the road to recovery, while West Ham still remain without centre-back Angelo Ogbonna, although Kurt Zouma has returned to the first team fold.

And Moyes has revealed that Diop is doing well in rehabilitation from his injury and is making good progress.

The Hammers boss added that there is an outside chance of the 25-year-old featuring again for West Ham before the end of the season.

“We’re going to train later today”, Moyes told a press conference.

“Angelo Ogbonna is an ACL and he’s started some running on the grass, which is good.

“Issa Diop is making a very good recovery and there’s always an outside chance he could return before the end of the season.”

Hammers fans will be hoping Diop will be available and at Moyes’ disposal again soon, as they continue their quest for a trophy in the Europa League and a European spot finish in the Premier League.
