The winger has been one of Leeds’ standout players since arriving at the club in the summer of 2020 from French side Rennes.

Even though Leeds are going through a tough campaign as they are locked in a relegation scrap in the Premier League, Raphinha has been one of the players that have impressed on the pitch.

Raphinha’s performances have seen him attract transfer interest from both domestic and foreign quarters, including Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Blaugrana have put the Brazilian at the top of their transfer wish list and are prepared to swoop for him in the summer, irrespective of whether Leeds manage to maintain their top flight status.

And Barcelona have stepped up their efforts to snare Raphinha away from Elland Road and are gearing up to enter negotiations with Leeds over a deal for him as soon as the season is over.

Raphinha reportedly has a £25m release clause in his contract that can be triggered if Leeds slip down to the Championship.

Leeds see the Brazilian as a key player in their squad and it remains to be seen whether they will allow him to leave in the summer if they avoid relegation.
