Raphinha has impressed in the Premier League for a second season running since joining Leeds in the summer of 2020 from Ligue 1 outfit Rennes.

The Brazilian’s exploits on the pitch have seen him draw admiring glances from both domestic and foreign clubs ahead of the summer window

Spanish giants Barcelona have put Raphinha at the top of their wish list and are now preparing to enter talks with Leeds over a summer swoop for him.

And the Catalans want to structure a deal with Leeds to sign Raphinha on an initial loan deal.

Barcelona would also like to include a purchase option in the winger’s contract, so that they can sign him on a permanent basis if he proves his worth on loan.

It has been claimed that Raphinha’s current deal at Elland Road includes a £25m release clause that can be triggered if Leeds suffer relegation from the Premier League this season.

The Leeds man is represented by Deco, a former Barcelona star, who still maintains good relationship with the Spaniards.
