The 25-year-old Dutch winger has had a solid season at Villarreal where he has netted 16 goals in all competitions.

His performances in Spain have led to speculation over his future at the club after just one season with the Yellow Submarine.

Newcastle are amongst the clubs who have been interested in snapping up the winger and he has a £38m release clause in his contract.

But it has been claimed that Newcastle are yet to make any move to sign Danjuma in the approaching summer transfer window.

The club are still finalising their transfer plans with suggestions that their transfer kitty is likely to much less than they spent in January.

Danjuma is a player who is liked at Newcastle but so far, no contact has been established between the club and the Dutchman or Villarreal.

The attacker himself is not prepared to rush into making a decision and is not desperate to leave Villarreal.

He will only consider leaving the Spanish club if the sporting project offered to him is 100 per cent right.
