Mane’s future at Anfield is under the scanner as he is expected to tell Liverpool of his desire to depart the club in the approaching summer transfer window.

The Senegal international is in the final year of his contract at Liverpool and his situation has seen him attract interest from German giants Bayern Munich.

It has been claimed that the Bundesliga champions could seal a deal for Mane in the €30m range.

However, the Reds value the winger at around €50m, and would rather see him leave for free next summer than sell him for a fee below their asking price.

Moreover, Liverpool will only sell Mane in the summer if they have found a suitable replacement for him.

The 30-year-old has played an instrumental role under boss Jurgen Klopp since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2016, and they will not sanction his exit unless they have lined up a player to take his place.

Mane’s fellow attacker Mohamed Salah has vowed to stay at the club into next season, though his future beyond the summer of 2023 is in doubt.
