Spurs are on the verge of sealing a move for Ivan Perisic, who snubbed the opportunity to extend his stint at Inter to reunite with Antonio Conte in north London.

With strong backing from the Tottenham hierarchy, Conte and Spurs managing director of football Fabio Paratici have ramped up their recruitment drive and they also have eye on another Inter star in centre-back Bastoni.

Conte is firm admirer of the Bastoni and he has requested Tottenham secure a deal for the Nerazzurri man as he looks to bolster his backline.

However, Tottenham have suffered a blow in their pursuit of the Italy international as he is unwilling to part ways Inter at present.

But Bastoni is not ruled out from leaving San Siro in the summer, and a deal is still a possibility, although Tottenham would have to convince him to join their ranks.

Bastoni was a fixture under Conte at Inter during their Serie A winning 2020/21 campaign.

It remains to be seen whether the Italian pair will be reunited in the English capital ahead of next season, although Spurs will have their work cut out to push through deal for the defender.
