Werner came to the Blues in the summer of 2020 but has so far struggled to meet fans’ expectations in his two seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Last summer, Werner’s competition was increased when Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku and he also struggled with illness and injuries.

Nonetheless, the striker made 37 appearances all competitions last season, bagging eleven goals, with four of them in the Champions League.

Juventus had former Blues striker Alvaro Morata on loan this past season, but it remains doubtful that they will sign him permanently and they are looking to rope someone else.

In that regard, an option that is being contemplated by the Italian giants is Werner, according to Turin-based daily Tuttosport.

The agent of the Chelsea striker, Volker Struth, visited the Juventus headquarters back in April and it remains to be seen if they actively pursue him.

Lukaku is claimed to be hankering for a transfer away from Stamford Bridge and it remains to be seen if the Blues are willing to part ways with both of their high-profile strikers in the summer.
