Spurs have already signed Ivan Perisic from Inter ahead of next season and they want to take another star from their squad in Bastoni, with Antonio Conte having specifically asked for him.
Bastoni though is not convinced about leaving Inter and will need to be tempted to make the move to north London.
And, according to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, there is nothing imminent in the works to take Bastoni to Tottenham.
While Tottenham want to sign him, they look to have significant work to do if a move is to materialise.
Bastoni is pleased to be with the Italian giants and it is claimed only a major offer may be able to make the centre-back consider a transfer.
Spurs signed Cristian Romero last season from Serie A and he has impressed thus far for the north London club with his defensive displays.
However, significant obstacles stand in Spurs’ way to repeat the trick with Bastoni, who worked with Conte at Inter.
