McPake spent the previous season on loan at two different clubs, Morecambe in the first half of the campaign and Tranmere Rovers in the latter.

The young winger struggled with injury in the first loan, but did end up making 14 appearances for the Super White Army to close out the season.

McPake has one appearance under his belt for the Gers first team, but most of his Rangers career has been spent out on loan and next season he could be moving to a shock destination.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva are interested in the young winger and they would like to bring him to Israel for the upcoming season on loan.

The Israeli side also want to add an option to buy clause in the deal that would be relevant if McPake satisfies their expectations.

McPake also has interest from clubs in England on a loan deal, among them the likes of Crewe Alexandra, Crawley Town and Stockport County, and the winger has not gone outside of Britain on a loan spell before.

It was speculated last month that Rangers were thinking of tearing up the youngster’s contract but nothing of the sort has taken place.
