Gers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants to sign a new striker in the ongoing window, with Alfredo Morelos only having a year left on his current deal at Ibrox.

The departure of Cedric Itten has also opened up a vacant spot in the Rangers attacking department and they have been linked with several strikers.

Randers marksman Odey has been linked with interest from the Scottish giants as they look to bolster their frontline.

However, the Nigerian is not a player Rangers are keen to sign this summer, contrary to claims.

Rangers have an extensive list of potential striker targets, but Odey is not an option they are considering at present.

Rangers want to tie down Morelos down to a new deal to make sure they do not have to see him walk away for next summer, while they keep an eye out for other potential striker signings.

Erik Botheim and Ross Stewart are players on Rangers’ radar but the duo are not priority targets at present.
