The 22-year-old striker terminated his contract with Russian club Krasnodar shortly after joining the club from Bodo Glimt this year.

The forward is available on a free transfer and several clubs are believed to be considering signing him.

Rangers are amongst the clubs who have been linked with an interest in him and Marseille are believed to considering signing Botheim.

But it has been claimed that the French club are not interested in signing the Norwegian forward.

The Ligue 1 club are in the market for a striker but Botheim is not a player they are considering at the moment.

Rangers have made an enquiry for the forward and have been looking at him ahead of the summer.

However,  the Glasgow giants have not made any concrete moves to sign the Norwegian for the moment.

Botheim broke into the Norway squad last year but has not made his senior debut for his national side yet.
