Even though Cresswell only made five appearances in the Premier League, he was a fixture on Leeds’ bench last season and is highly rated.

Cresswell finds himself down the pecking order at Elland Road behind the likes of Liam Cooper, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Pascal Struijk.

It has been suggested that Cresswell is keen on earning senior minutes on a regular basis next season and Championship side Millwall have been interested in the defender.

And the Lions are now claimed to have agreed terms with Leeds on a season-long loan deal for Cresswell.

Cresswell is due back from his summer break next week and then Millwall will give him a medical and push the deal over the line.

It has been suggested that Championship new boys Sunderland were also keen on signing the highly rated youngster in the ongoing transfer window.

All eyes will be on when Cresswell steps onto the field for the Lions as Gary Rowett’s team will head to Kent to play Dartford on Tuesday, 12th July.
