The Hoops and the Gers are both in the process of bolstering their respective squads in the ongoing window as they gear up to battle it out for domestic and European trophies in the upcoming season.

Both Scottish heavyweights are in the market for reinforcements in attack and they have been linked with interest in snapping up Randers hitman Odey.

And the Nigerian revealed that he is open to joining a big club such as Rangers or Celtic in the ongoing window, although he will only consider a move away from Randers once he is aware of concrete interest in his services from interested parties.

Asked whether he feels it would be interesting if big clubs in the likes of Celtic and Rangers express concrete interest in his services, Odey told Danish daily the Randers Amstavis: “These are big clubs, and it is clear that it is something that I want to be open to.

“But I’m at Randers FC, and right now that’s the only thing that matters.

“As long as I have not been presented with anything concrete, as I said, I will not let myself be disturbed by it.”

Randers sporting director Soren Pederson has expressed his desire to keep hold of Odey for at least one more season, but the player insists that if the right club come calling, he will push for an exit.

“If the right club come, Randers FC have no choice but to let me go.

“But I am happy to be at Randers FC, and that does not change the fact that there are some rumours about other clubs.

“For me, it’s about the preparations for the new season with the team I’m currently part of.”

It remains to be seen whether either Celtic or Rangers will look to hand Odey an opportunity to move to the Scottish Premiership this summer.
