Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford is under the scanner as he has expressed his desire to leave the club, just a season after re-sighing for the Red Devils.

The Portuguese is not the only superstar looking to leave his current side as Lewandowski is keen to join Spanish giants Barcelona this summer from Bayern Munich, although the German champions want to keep him.

Former Bundesliga man Fjortoft is of the view that Ronaldo would be the perfect short-term replacement for Lewandowski at the Allianz Arena, should the Bavarians sanction an exit for the Pole.

Fjortoft believes that Ronaldo would guarantee the German champions more than 30 goals in the Bundesliga, if they secure his services, although they cannot say out loud that they want him at present while the Lewandowski transfer saga drags on.

“If Bayern “have to” let Lewandowski go to Barcelona, C Ronaldo would be the perfect short-term- replacement for them”, Fjortoft wrote on Twitter.

“He will 100 per cent score more than 30 Bundesliga goals.

“In the big game around Lewandowski they can’t say they want C Ronaldo of course.”

All eyes will be on where both Lewandowski and Ronaldo will end up playing next season with around two more months left in the ongoing window.
