Gers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been looking to reinforce his attacking department with a new striker this summer following the departure of Cedric Itten.
Rangers could also see star hitman Alfredo Morelos leave the club this summer as he is yet to sign a new deal but their hunt for a new striker is set to be wrapped up.
Van Bronckhorst zeroed in on PAOK star Colak as his top target in the ongoing window and Rangers managed to agree to a deal with the Greek outfit for him.
The Scottish giants will pay PAOK €2.5m for Colak’s signature in addition to €500,000 in bonus payments, while they have also agreed to include a 15 per cent sell-on clause in the deal.
And Colak has now left PAOK’s pre-season training camp in the Netherlands for Scotland to sort out the final proceedings of his deal to move to Ibrox.
Colak will have a medical and if all goes well, he will put pen to paper on a contract with the Glasgow giants.
Rangers are currently in Portugal as part of their training and Van Bronckhorst will hope to have the 28-year-old at his disposal soon.
