Fulham agreed on a deal in principle with Manchester United towards the end of last month for the signature of the Brazilian midfielder.

Pereira is not part of Erik ten Hag’s plans and the midfielder’s preference was to stay at Flamengo where he spent last season on loan.

However, Fulham boss Marco Silva has managed to convince the player to move to Craven Cottage and the move is now imminent.

It has been claimed that the midfielder is in London today where he is expected to undergo a medical.

The final agreement is in place between the two clubs and paperwork is being finalised for the transfer.

The 26-year-old will sign a long-term contract with Fulham once he successfully completes his medical with the west London side.

Manchester United are set to bag a fee of £8m and another £2m in potential add-ons as part of the agreement.

Pereira joined Manchester United from PSV Eindhoven’s academy in 2012 and made 75 senior appearances for the club.
