Raphinha has been insisting on a move to Barcelona and has ignored an offer from Chelsea, who have largely agreed on a fee with Leeds.

But the Catalan giants have been dragging their heels in negotiations as for the moment they do not have the funds to match Leeds’ asking price.

The negotiations have been taking place between the two clubs and Barcelona have now agreed on a deal in principle with the Whites.

However, according to Spanish broadcaster El Chiringuito TV, the deal is dependent upon Barcelona successfully activating the next set of financial levers.

The Catalan giants sold some of their TV rights to a private company last month to bring in money and ease some of their financial burdens.

But the club’s transfer market is dependent on Barcelona successfully activating the second lever, which includes a stake in Barca studios and a percentage of their merchandising rights.

Once the deals are in place, Barcelona will have the money to afford the signing of Raphinha this summer.

But negotiations are still ongoing with different companies and Barcelona are yet to finalise agreements.

Leeds have Chelsea’s offer on their table and could be growing impatient with Barcelona’s various financial problems.
