The 2021/22 season was a breakthrough campaign for the 21-year-old, but his future at Hillsborough is under the scanner.

Dele-Bashiru has entered the final year of his contract at Sheffield Wednesday and his situation has seen him attract interest from the Championship this summer.

Norwich City are keen on a move for the player, while Blackpool have already slapped in a bid for him.

But Sheffield Wednesday are tipped to knock back Blackpool’s offer for Dele-Bashiru as they are keen to keep hold of him.

And the Owls hierarchy are in talks with the former Manchester City star’s entourage over signing at the club on fresh terms amidst interest from elsewhere.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore sees Dele-Bashiru playing a part in his plans for next season as he looks to lead the club to automatic promotion.

The Owls will hope Dele-Bashiru will agree to a new deal as soon as possible with other clubs prepared to offer him an opportunity to play in a league which is a step up in competition from League One.
