The Hammers are in talks with Sassuolo as they seek to reach an agreement for the Italy international’s signature.

They have offered an initial fee of €40m and are currently discussing the overall structure of the deal and the relevant add-ons with Sassuolo.

West Ham are even prepared to outbid Paris Saint-Germain to get their hands on Scamacca, but the transfer is far from being a certainty.

It has been claimed that West Ham are expected to find it complex to convince the forward to consider the move.

Scamacca is claimed to be keen on staying in Italy rather than leaving Serie A at this stage of his career.

He is open to a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but the Parisians are unwilling to match Sassuolo’s €50m asking price at the moment.

He is yet to give any consideration to a move to the Premier League with West Ham but the Hammers are pushing ahead with their efforts to land him.

The London club are hopeful that they will be able to convince the Italian once they have a deal in place with Sassuolo.
