Perkins has been heavily linked with several sides this summer following his exit from West Ham; he turned down a professional contract offer at the London Stadium.

It is Leeds though who have won the race and tempted the 18-year-old to continue his development at Elland Road under the eye of boss Jesse Marsch.

Perkins has undergone his medical checks with the Yorkshire side and come through without any issues.

He has now put pen to paper to a contract at Leeds and the club are expected to confirm his arrival imminently.

Highly rated Perkins is likely to slot into Leeds’ Under-23 ranks at first and then look to impress senior team boss Marsch.

He scored ten times for West Ham in the Premier League 2 last season and also netted on four occasions in the Under-18 Premier League.

West Ham boss David Moyes handed Perkins first team game time in the Europa League, against Rapid Vienna and Dinamo Zagreb.

He also had a brief Premier League cameo in a loss to Leeds.
