Wesley’s high-profile move to Villa Park has not gone as planned, with the Brazilian now looking to get his career back on track over the course of next season.

Injuries have contributed to his woes and he spent last season on loan, first with Club Brugge and then with Internacional back in his homeland.

His loan with club Internacional runs until the end of the year but it appears the striker is not fulfilling the whole contract.

Wesley is now in Valencia to sign for Segunda Division side Levante on loan, according to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte.

The striker was also a target for Deportivo Alaves, who similar to Levante were relegated from La Liga last season, but it seems the club based in Valencia have now won out.

Wesley’s contract with Aston Villa runs until the summer of 2024 and it remains to be seen if a positive stint in Spain can rekindle his Villa career.

The striker made 19 appearances in total for Internacional in his time in Brazil, scoring two goals, while his spell with Club Brugge also did not go satisfactorily and he will be hoping he has more success with Levante.
