Soumare arrived at the King Power Stadium last summer from Ligue 1 side Lille, however struggled to impress in his first season in the Premier League.

The Foxes are open to letting the midfielder leave the club this summer for the right price and the he is also looking to move on.

Monaco are keen on taking Soumare back to Ligue 1 and slapped in an opening bid for him

But Leicester knocked back Monaco’s initial offer for the 23-year-old as they are holding out for a fee closer to the amount they spent to sign him in the first place.

Monaco have no plans to give up on their pursuit of Soumare and are still continuing talks with Leicester over him.

And talks between the Monegasques and Leicester are progressing positively with Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers tipped to deeming him surplus to requirements at the club.

Rodgers is keen to bolster his squad this summer but Leicester are yet to sign any new players and funds from a potential sale of Soumare could add to their transfer budget.
