Bate is among the highly rated players in Leeds’ youth set-up and even made his Premier League debut last season under Jesse Marsch.

The Whites have already allowed some of their Under-23s stars to leave on loan to clock up game time at a higher level than Premier League 2 Division 2 and Bate is also keen on leaving Elland Road on a temporary basis.

Bate is not part of Leeds’ pre-season tour as Marsch decided to allow him to remain in England following discussions over the possibility of him going out on loan.

And Bate has drawn the admiring glances of several League One clubs as his immediate future at the Yorkshire giants remains under the scanner.

The 19-year-old currently has an admirer in the shape of Oxford boss Robinson, amidst the player attracting interest from a number of third-tier clubs.

Having held discussions with Marsch over potential first-team opportunities, Bate could now leave on loan this summer to kick on with his development while he is still seen as having a long-term future at Elland Road.

It remains to be seen whether the U’s under Robinson will push to land the Leeds teen talent in the ongoing window.
