The Pole has emerged as West Ham boss David Moyes’ top target as he looks to bolster his midfield in the ongoing window.

West Ham saw Napoli knock back their initial approach for Zielinski as they are holding out for a bigger fee.

The Hammers are now tipped to be ready to slap in an improved offer the midfielder which would be nearer to Napoli’s €40m valuation of him.

Zielinski also rejected the London club’s initial approach but is claimed to be warm to joining them as they have made him a lucrative offer worth more than €6m per annum.

And according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, West Ham are making progress in negotiations with Gli Azzurri over a move for the 28-year-old.

The Irons are not close to reaching an agreement with Napoli yet, but talks are advancing towards them securing a deal for Zielinski.

Napoli are preparing for the possibility of Zielinski’s departure and have already identified Tottenham Hotspur star Giovani Lo Celso and Hellas Verona’s Antonin Barak as potential replacements.
