De la Fuente only joined Marseille last summer from Barcelona, but his future at the club is under the scanner this summer.

The winger only started nine games in Ligue 1 last term and missed the majority of the campaign through injury, but has attracted transfer interest from abroad.

Turkish giants Besiktas and Greek outfit Olympiacos are keen on the Marseille man, while Championship new boys Burnley also are looking snap him up.

New Clarets boss Vincent Kompany is overseeing a squad overhaul at Turf Moor and they are in need of new wingers with the likes of Dwight McNeil and Maxwel Cornet leaving the club in the ongoing window.

And according to Greek outlet Sportime, Burnley are currently leading the race to secure the services of De la Fuente from the French giants

However, even though Kompany’s side are favourites to land the American, both Besiktas and Olympiacos remain in contention as his potential destinations.

The Marseille star has represented the United States on the international stage and it remains to be seen where he ends up playing this season.
