Sarr has been a player in-demand this summer as a host of Premier League clubs have shown interest in signing him.

The winger was close to joining Aston Villa for whom he also completed his medical, but the move ultimately fell through.

Another top flight team in the shape of Crystal Palace have been keen on snapping up the Senegal international although they failed with their opening bid for him.

However, Sarr could be ruled out from leaving Vicarage Road this summer as Watford are now looking to enter negotiations with him to tie him down to a new deal.

Sarr’s current deal at the Hertfordshire club will expire in the summer of 2024 and they want to extend his stint, although it remains to be seen whether the player will agree amidst interest from the top flight.

The Championship side could also see Joao Pedro exit in the ongoing window and they are tipped to be not open to seeing two attackers leave the club amidst the growing uncertainty around Sarr’s future.

Watford have put a £30m price tag on Sarr’s head and it has been claimed that it is a figure Crystal Palace are unlikely to match this summer.
