Last season’s Europa League winners are facing a real threat of losing their number one goalkeeper before the window closes next week.
Manchester United have offered Trapp a lucrative four-year contract and the 32-year-old is interested in joining the Premier League giants.
The Red Devils are yet to table a bid with Eintracht Frankfurt and the German club are now prepared to hold out for a considerable fee.
According to German broadcaster Sport1, Eintracht Frankfurt want anywhere between €15m to €20m before agreeing to let him go.
Manchester United are expected to table their first offer soon but it is expected to be below the €10m mark.
However, the German club are not expected to sell Trapp for a lower fee given his importance in the squad.
Eintracht Frankfurt are also offering the German a new deal and a potential role inside the club following the end of his career.
Manchester United want a new number 2 and are pushing to bring in Trapp as a legitimate threat to David de Gea’s position in the team.
