Gbamin has struggled to make his mark at Goodison Park since joining Everton, with injuries playing their part in restricting his game time.

Everton loaned the midfielder to Russian side CSKA Moscow for the second half of last season and have been looking for a solution for the 26-year-old this summer.

He has now arrived in Turkey to complete a switch to Trabzonspor, with a loan move expected to be sealed for the Ivory Coast international midfielder.

Upon arriving at the airport in Turkey, Gbamin was quoted as saying by Turkish outlet Fotomac: “I feel great.

“It’s a chance for me to play here.

“I’m grateful they gave me this chance. I’m very happy.”

Trabzonspor won the Turkish Super Lig last season and Gbamin will look to help the Black Sea Storm defend their title over the coming campaign.
