The Blackburn striker is in demand going into the last week of the summer transfer window with several teams chasing him.

Leeds are interested in him and Everton have already made an official approach to sign him from Blackburn in the coming days.

The Chilean is attracting interest from clubs outside England as well with Nice having already had a bid rejected.

But according to French sports daily L’Equipe, any move for him is hinging on the result of their Europa League qualifier tonight.

Nice will host Maccabi Tel Aviv in the second leg of their Europa League playoff tie tonight in France.

If they manage to overturn the 1-0 deficit and reach the group stage of the Europa League, a move for Brereton Diaz would likely become a possibility.

Blackburn are prepared to sell the striker but want his suitors to match their £15m before the 1st September transfer deadline.
