Manchester United Could Make Move For Star If Crystal Palace Target Aaron Wan-Bissaka Goes

Manchester United are only likely to make a late play for Barcelona’s Sergino Dest if Crystal Palace target Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaves before the window slams shut on Thursday night, according to journalist Jonathan Shrager.

Wan-Bissaka’s place in the eleven has been taken over by Diogo Dalot and the 24-year-old is not part of Erik ten Hag’s long-term plans.

Manchester United have been hoping to move him on before the end of the window, but they rejected a recent approach from Crystal Palace for him.

Manchester United are not sure that they have the time to seek a replacement for the defender, but a late twist could still happen.

Barcelona star Dest has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United will only consider making a last-minute play for the Barcelona star if Wan-Bissaka leaves though.

And the Red Devils do not want to lose the Englishman without cast-iron guarantees that a replacement would come in.

It remains to be seen whether they receive concrete offers for Wan-Bissaka, which could set off a domino effect, in the next 48 hours.
