The Whites’ quest to land an attacker on deadline day went down to the wire having failed with their efforts to land the likes of Cody Gakpo and Bamba Dieng.
Leeds finally got their new striker in highly-rated Gnonto, who joined for around £4m from Swiss champions FC Zurich late on Thursday night.
Former Whites star Couzens insists that Leeds have done great in the window by snapping up a full-fledged Italy international in Gnonto for a low fee.
Couzens added that Leeds have done well for themselves with their business in the recently concluded window as the new boys are settling well in at Elland Road.
“Italian international for £4.05mil that’s great business”, Couzens wrote on Twitter.
And he added that overall he feels the Whites have had a positive window.
“I think we’ve had a very good window.
“We can see the players fitting together very nicely.”
All eyes will be on when Gnonto will be handed his debut with Rodrigo currently sidelined with injury, although Patrick Bamford could feature when Leeds take on Brentford at the weekend.
