The Owls are in fourth place in the League One table with 16 points from eight matches, two places behind Ipswich, who are currently leading the league table.

Moore’s side won their last game against Morecambe 3-0 and will lock horns with McKenna’s Ipswich side at Hillsborough on Saturday.

Ipswich are undefeated in the league so far this season and the Sheffield Wednesday boss admits the Tractor Boys have performed admirably since the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign.

Moore stressed that both Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday are in good form, and he is of the view that the Hillsborough crowd will be able to watch a high-calibre game on Saturday.

“It will be a real top-level game on Saturday”, Moore told Yorkshire Live.

“They have really set their stall out this season.

“They are a good team.

“Both teams are in real good form at the moment and we go head-to-head on Saturday.

“It will be wonderful in front of our home crowd.

“There is plenty of work to do between now and then in terms of getting ready for that game.”

Sheffield Wednesday defeated Ipswich Town 1-0 in their most recent match, which took place in January, maintaining an undefeated record in their previous four encounters.
