The 20-year-old winger joined Twente on loan from Norwich last summer after the Canaries got relegated from the Premier League.

The Greek has been an important part of the squad at Twente and has scored three times in 12 appearances for the Dutch outfit.

But the winger picked up an injury after coming on around the hour-mark against Feyenoord and was brought off just ten minutes later.

According to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, Tzolis’ injury is serious enough to rule him out until at least the winter break.

Twente coach Ron Jans did not sound too optimistic after the game and his fears have been realised.

It remains to be seen whether he returns to Norwich to undergo his rehabilitation and recovery at his parent club.

The Dutch club will hope to have him back and contributing in the latter half of the season until the end of his loan spell.

Norwich signed him from PAOK Salonika in 2021 for a fee of €11m and he made 17 appearances for the club.
