McKenna’s side saw their six-match unbeaten run at Portman Road come to an end at the hands of Lincoln City on Saturday.

This evening, Ipswich will host Derby County, who have won two of their last three league games under their new manager, Paul Warne.

The Ipswich boss is convinced that the Rams will seek to play an attacking style of football that is typical of any Warne’s team.

McKenna stressed that Warne is good at bringing high-intensity football out of his team and believes that the game will be open with a lot of end-to-end action and transitions.

“They have a right to do whatever they want to do”, McKenna was quoted as saying by The East Anglian Daily Times.

“But you can usually be largely confident that a Paul Warne side are going to come and try and be aggressive and play with a lot of energy and running and endeavour.

“He does a really good job of getting that out of his teams.

“It’s going to be a much more open game that will have more end-to-end elements.

“There will be a lot more transitions.

“Hopefully it will be an exciting game and, most importantly, one where we pick up three points.”

Ipswich are in second place in the League One table with 30 points from 14 matches and will be eager to get three points this evening.
