Ramos replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in the Portugal starting eleven on Tuesday night and made an instant impact when he scored a hat-trick in their 6-1 last 16 win over Switzerland.

The forward almost joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and has continued to remain on the radar of big clubs.

Ramos has been linked with a move to the Premier League, where Manchester United are amongst his admirers.

But it has been claimed that even Leeds and Newcastle have been keeping tabs on him with a view to a move.

He is only going to become more coveted in the coming weeks if he continues to score in the knockout stages of the World Cup.

Benfica are so far secure about his future and they are protected by a €120m release clause in his contract.

The 21-year-old’s stock is only expected to rise but it seems unlikely anyone would be prepared to pay his buy-out clause.

Other clubs such as Wolves, Southampton and Nottingham Forest have also been interested in Ramos.
