The United States international joined Juventus on loan for the 2020/21 season from German side Schalke, before making the switch permanent.

McKennie has featured 16 times for Juventus this season, scoring three goals and assisting two times.

The midfielder is a player closely followed by Spurs and Tottenham football director Fabio Paratici is an admirer of McKennie.

It has been suggested that Tottenham could put in a bid for McKennie, with Antonio Conte wanting January arrivals.

However, McKennie’s wage demands are currently an issue for interested clubs, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

He earned €1.3m at Schalke, while at Juventus he is earning €2.5m.

It is suggested that every interested club that have come forward so far have been told McKennie wants a wage increase on par with that he received when he swapped Schalke for Juventus.

If McKennie lowers his demands, a deal for him to leave Juventus in January could be done.
