Vincent Kompany is keen on adding a defensive midfielder to his squad in the ongoing transfer window and has identified Hadziahmetovic as a potential option.

Burnley, Besiktas and Galatasaray are battling over the 25-year-old midfielder’s transfer during the January transfer window.

Konyaspor have put a €5.5m price tag on the player, with it suggested Galatasaray are offering around €3.5m.

It is unclear how much Besiktas have bid, while it is claimed Burnley’s offer is up to €4m for Hadziahmetovic.

And according to Turkish daily Hurriyet, Burnley have made the best bid to poach Hadziahmetovic from Konyaspor.

Burnley are top of the Championship table and are contenders for automatic promotion to the Premier League this season.

Hadziahmetovic is aware of interest from the Championship side, but it has been suggested that the defensive midfielder wants to stay in Turkey.

It remains to be seen whether Kompany’s side will be able to convince Hadziahmetovic to make the move to Turf Moor this winter.
