Raskin’s performances while playing in the Belgian top tier have drawn the attention of Rangers, who want to add him to their squad.

Rangers want to beef up their midfield department and Raskin is poised to do just that as the Gers are closing in on his signature.

It is claimed Raskin has agreed personal terms with Rangers over a four-and-a-half year contract and medical tests have also been done.

Now Rangers officials are heading to Belgium to put the seal on the transfer of the midfielder and will arrive in the coming hours, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Raskin has already passed his medical with Rangers and Standard Liege are claimed to be looking for €2.5m plus a percentage of a future sale.

It is claimed the deal could though be done at around €1m for a player who is out of contract in the summer.

Rangers have added Todd Cantwell in the current window and Raskin is in line to add more muscle to the midfield department at Ibrox.

Raskin has made 17 appearances this term for Standard Liege but has been out of the squad since December, missing their last five games.

His contract with the Belgian club is due in the summer but it seems he will be heading to Rangers this month before that happens.
