The Toffees sacked Frank Lampard at the start of the week and have been working on bringing in a new manager.

Marcelo Bielsa emerged as Everton owner Farhad Moshiri’s preferred candidate and the club were in talks with the former Leeds boss.

The Argentine even arrived in London on Thursday for talks with Everton but the club are claimed to have taken a different direction.

Dyche is expected to become the next Everton boss with the appointment set to take place.

The former Burnley boss has been out of work since towards the end of last season and was linked with several jobs.

He has been in the fray for the Everton job as well despite suggestions that Bielsa was the favourite.

But it seems that the 51-year-old has managed to convince the decision-makers at Everton during the talks.

Dyche’s first game in charge will be on 4th February when Everton take on Manchester City a week from Saturday.
